StatusPath Reports Documentation
Welcome to StatusPath Reports documentation.
StatusPath Reports - Time in Status for Jira is a Jira Cloud Forge app by BlueGrove Labs. It helps teams analyze how long Jira work items spend in statuses, assignees, status groups, and assignee groups, then review the results in tables, charts, exports, Issue Activity, and dashboard gadgets.
This documentation uses simulated Jira examples. It does not include real customer data.

Troubleshooting
When to use this
Use StatusPath Reports when you need to understand how long Jira work items spend in workflow statuses, who work was assigned to, how many transitions happened, and where bottlenecks appear across a selected project, filter, sprint, epic, or JQL query.
The app is useful for delivery leads, Scrum Masters, engineering managers, support operations teams, and Jira administrators who need workflow visibility without building custom spreadsheets.
The current report selector includes Time in Status, Average Time in Status, Time in Assignee, Status Count, Status Entry Date, and Transition Count.
Before you begin
- Confirm that StatusPath Reports is installed on your Jira Cloud site.
- Make sure you can view the Jira issues you want to analyze.
- Decide which work items should be included in the report.
- Know the workflow statuses that matter for your process.
Steps
- Open StatusPath Reports from Jira.
- Choose a report type, such as Time in Status.
- Select a report scope, such as Project or JQL.
- Set the Work item range, Trim History range, duration format, and work schedule.
- Run the report.
- Review the table or chart.
- Save the setup as a preset or export the result.
Result
You should see a report table with Jira issues and calculated workflow metrics. Depending on the report type, the table may include dynamic status columns, assignee columns, count columns, dates, or transition totals.
Notes
Core concepts:
- Report scope controls which Jira work items are analyzed.
- Report type controls which metric is calculated.
- Work item range controls which work items Jira returns before calculation.
- Trim History clips the status, assignee, and transition history used for calculation.
- Time settings control duration format, work calendar, timezone, and business hours.
- Saved reports store reusable report configurations.
- Exports provide CSV or XLSX files for sharing and offline analysis.
Example workflow path:
To Do -> In Progress -> Review -> DoneCurrent public feature scope includes saved presets, CSV/XLSX table export, PNG/PDF/SVG chart export, a Jira Issue Activity module, a dashboard gadget, local mock/demo data, and configurable work calendars.
Important current limits: StatusPath Reports does not include Jira Data Center support, scheduled email delivery, external BI feeds, legal compliance certifications, or an advanced permission model.
Troubleshooting
If the report is empty, first confirm that the selected scope contains issues you can view in Jira. Then check the date range, selected statuses, and JQL syntax.
